2016 – A Year in Review

Since this is my last Thursday post for 2016, I thought I’d take the opportunity to take a breather from the subject of sexual health and wellness and talk about this past year.

To say that it has been an interesting one is a huge understatement. I know a lot of you have had many challenges, whether it be physical or emotional, or with regards to relationships either with others or with ourselves. But it’s almost over and it’s time to start this puppy off on the right foot

I know for myself this year has been full of changes, challenges and upsets. After my graduation in 2014 my life took a left turn and plunged me into 15 months of the worst stress of my life. I felt like I was in constant upheaval between my job and my personal life. By November 2015 I had reached the end of my rope and I finally admitted that I needed help and got it.

In February of this year I attended a conference that changed my perspective. I was healing well from my emotional roller coaster and my hormones were doing much better. So I decided to get serious about building a business helping others. And the conference gave me the tools I needed. Plus I met some fabulous people along the way. I decided at the end of last winter that I was not going to be working downtown Toronto for another winter. It was just too much stress, too much time and far too much aggravation. So I set about making a ton of changes to my business.

Fast forward to November 25 2016 … the last day of my corporate job. I left behind the security of a decent regular paycheque to spread my wings and fly. I knew I was never going to be able to show up and be totally present for you if I was trying to juggle a lifestyle that included a 4:15 a.m. alarm clock so I could work out, get ready and leave for work at 7 am, only to return home by approximately 6 pm, then have to make and eat dinner, clean up, spent an hour or so if I was lucky advancing my business, then have to shut down around 9 at the latest so I could get 6 hours sleep. It was a brutal, exhausting, stressful existence and I knew I would never accomplish my dreams … of being of service to you like I want to be, to become a public speaker and author … all in an effort to help women understand their bodies better, to help them heal, physically and emotionally, to empower them so they can show up to be their best selves and accomplish what they want to in life … whatever that may be.

So what does 2017 have in store for me? I have no idea. I do know that I will do what it takes to be my best self so I can help you be yours. I want you to know that I am here for you.  I want to help, I want to provide you with a safe place to ask questions, to discuss issues you don’t feel comfortable talking to your spouse, your friends or your family about. I want you to feel happy and fulfilled and full of energy.

So if there’s any way I can help, please reach out to me and just ask. You can find me here.

Just so you know, I have a newsletter you can subscribe to which offers mostly information about sexual health and wellness, hormone balancing and weight loss. I also like to keep my people up to date on different things that are happening around Stepping Stones Wellness like events and programs. There are also a few Facebook groups that you can join.

I’d love to learn more about you, what you need, what you want, what you really want to experience. Just drop me a line and I’ll get back to you quickly.

With much love … yours in health

Sandy
