Looking Ahead to 2017

Yes … I know it might seem a little cliché and everyone and his brother seems to be doing this … but given recent events I thought it appropriate to provide you with an update on what’s in store for Stepping Stones Wellness in 2017.

For those who don’t know this, I finally left my corporate job on November 25, 2016 so I can focus my attention on helping you. Although I graduated in October 2014, it took me until February 2016 to get serious about building a business. A lot happened in 2015 (far worse for me than 2016) that steered me off course. But I met some people early in 2016 who provided me with the guidance and education that I needed. I vowed in March that I was not going to work downtown Toronto during another winter. And I kept my word … I was out of there before it got really cold or snowy.

So what’s up for this year now that I can focus my attention on helping you; and just what is it that I do?

I’m a holistic nutritionist, which means that I use nutrition as the basis of my practice. What we eat has an enormous impact on our health and wellness. Unfortunately the quality of the food we have access to has declined immensely over the years. Big Agriculture growing monocrops (which depletes the vitamins and minerals in the soil) the distances our food travels (which diminishes the available vitamins and minerals in food) and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) which is food that has had genes injected into them that can come from bacteria, viruses, insects, animals or even humans, are all contributing factors to the quality (or lack thereof) of our food.

As a result of the poorer quality of food or particular health issues, sometimes you need to take supplements. I can help with that by recommending which supplements may improve your health. There are other lifestyle choices that I recommend to increase the quality of your life.

Who do I help? Women who are stressed out, tired all the time, have trouble losing weight, have a low sex drive, or are battling various cycle issues. All of these things have a hormone imbalance in common. Whether it’s cortisol from being stressed out, blood sugar imbalances, a sluggish thyroid or low progesterone, they’re all hormone related.

What are my plans for 2017? Mostly I’m going to be more present to take care of my Stepping Stones community. I haven’t been as involved in my groups as I want to be and that’s just not acceptable to me. I appreciate my members and want to provide you with as much information and support as I can.

So how do you get involved with the Stepping Stones community? There are numerous ways to get involved. I have several Facebook groups that focus on various programs. For general hormonal health there is Stepping Stones Wellness, for sexual health there is Sexy Steppers, and for those with a more adventurous side there’s the Kinky Steppers group. All you have to do is ask to join the groups. Sorry men, in an effort to make sure the ladies in the group are comfortable, you won’t be admitted to Sexy Steppers or Kinky Steppers but I’m sure you understand. I’ve also created support groups for each of the 10-Day Detox and the Step into Sexy programs which you’re automatically enrolled in once you buy the program. There will be specific topics for certain days in the groups just to keep things interesting.

I’m also excited to share that I’ll be launching a very targeted hormone balancing program in April, geared towards different stages of a woman’s life … post partum, perimenopause and menopause. This will address nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle choices for each stage of the game.

If you live in or near Durham Region (specifically Ajax), I’ll be speaking at Abundance Allergy and Gluten Free Shop on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2-3 p.m. regarding hormonal imbalances and what you can do to get your energy, joy and sexy back. Seating is very limited so be sure to get your ticket (it’s free) soon.

I will continue to send out a weekly newsletter with advance notice of blog posts, events and other tidbits exclusive to my readers. If you sign up here, I’ll send you 15 Foods to Reduce Stress, Increase Energy and Boost your Sex Drive.

Most importantly … I’d love to hear from you. If there’s something you’d like me to address, specific concerns, challenges that you face or if you don’t know which group might be best for you, feel free to comment below or contact me here with a private message.

I’m looking forward to a very exciting, very busy 2017 getting to know you better.

Wishing you all the very best of 2017.

With much love

Sandy
